2 WWE Title Matches Made For 8/23 SmackDown
The 23rd of August promises to be a huge night on WWE SmackDown with two championship matches made for that show.
SmackDown in Orlando saw Solo Sikoa call out Roman Reigns to try and take the ula fala and with it the title of Tribal Chief from him. Reigns answered that challenge laying out both Sikoa and Tama Tonga, however, Jacob Fatu blindsided the former Undisputed WWE Champion allowing The Bloodline to smash Reigns through the announce table with a triple powerbomb.
As well as their issues with Roman Reigns, The Bloodline would have surely been paying attention to one match on the show as The Street Profits clashed with DIY in a number one contender’s match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Street Profits picked up the win meaning that they will challenge The Bloodline for the gold on the 23rd of August edition of SmackDown. Any two out of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu can defend the title which was originally won by Tonga and Fatu.
LA Knight Defending WWE US Title
That show will also see another title match take place as Legado del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar called out US Champion LA Knight on the show. Knight answered Escobar later in the show confirming that they’d meet in the ring when WWE’s blue brand rolled into Washington D.C.
