2 WWE Stars May Have Gotten In Trouble Backstage Over Roman Reigns
WWE higher-ups were probably upset with two superstars because of Roman Reigns.
The Original Tribal Chief teamed up with his cousin, Jey Uso, to square off with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a huge tag team match at SummerSlam.
During the fight that ended in Reigns and Uso’s victory, the 40-year-old stunningly delivered an impressive dive from the ring to Breakker and Reed outside. However, the move almost went wrong as the former Undisputed WWE Champion seemed to avoid landing on his head at the last moment.
On his The Stevie Richards Show, the former WWE Superstar broke down what happened during the botched spot, pointing out that Breakker and Reed did not catch Reigns as they should, which may have resulted in The OTC suffering a scary injury.
Stevie Richards Predicted Roman Reigns & WWE Bosses’ Reactions To The Botch
The former Hardcore Champion analyzed Breakker and Reed’s reactions after the botched spot, highlighting how they seemingly checked on Roman Reigns.
The wrestling veteran also pointed out Bron Breakker’s grimace afterwards, claiming the former Intercontinental Champion realized he messed up. Stevie Richards also predicted that while Roman Reigns would probably let it go, WWE bosses must have scolded Seth Rollins’ teammates backstage.
I know what they did. Right here, Bron Breakker’s kinda reaching out, doing the squeeze maybe. And right there, if Bron Breakker or Bronson Reed turn over, yeah, ‘Are you okay?’ Right there. Cuz they know. And I know the face, too. Like, the grimace. Like, when you completely miss somebody. See if we can see Bron Breakker’s face. That’s not selling the dive. That is, ‘Oh my God! I hope he’s okay. I scr*wed up.’ That’s like you’re really now nervous, like hoping he’s okay, but you know you scr*wed up and, hopefully, you’re gonna hear when you get back there.
He’d [Reigns] probably be like, ‘Man, it’s okay. Just next time, please catch me.’ But there’s gotta be somebody that’s gonna read the riot act to both of these guys and say, ‘That’s our highest-paid guy. That’s a top star. You need to catch him.’ And somebody needs to know better to be back here and step up rather than whoa whoa whoa gotta catch him and nobody’s gonna land right. Either he’s gonna get hurt, you’re gonna get hurt, or everybody’s gonna get hurt. [5:07 – 6:19]
