2 WWE Stars A Lock For Huge Moves In Draft
The WWE Draft is on its way and it seems at least two major NXT stars will be graduating to the main roster imminently.
On the Raw after WrestleMania 40, NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov made a shock appearance, defeating Shinsuke Nakamura on the show. After the match, Dragunov declared himself eligible for the WWE Draft with Michael Cole confirming the Draft will begin on the 26th of April edition of SmackDown before concluding on the April 29th edition of Raw.
With the rosters of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT set for a shake-up, a new report has shed more light on what WWE has planned.
Major Moves From NXT To WWE Main Roster Planned
Fightful Select reported that the recent inclusion of main roster stars such as AOP and Ivar on NXT television is more than just a tease and there is renewed focus in WWE on making NXT a legitimate third brand in the company.
Shawn Michaels is said to have told NXT talent he is not sure who will be moved to the main roster during the draft but both Carmelo Hayes and current NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov are believed to be “a lock” for a move to Raw or SmackDown.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez also appeared on Raw recently, defeating Indi Hartwell but her status is said to still be up in the air so she might be staying put after all.
