2-time WWE Champion Seemingly Turns Heel On NXT

Tonight’s episode of NXT provided an action-packed evening, which saw some exciting matches take place on the show. The NXT Championship was defended in the main event, and the ending of the match left every fan talking.

The current NXT Champion Oba Femi retained his title against Je’Von Evans on tonight’s show after the Young OG had challenged him for the belt by utilizing the opportunity he earned by winning the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge.

It seemed like the Young OG was just moments away from gaining an unforgettable win over The Ruler, but was denied his moment after a former 2-time champion seemingly turned heel.

Ricky Saints cost Je’Von Evans the NXT Championship

At the beginning of tonight’s show, Ricky wasn’t in favor of Evans challenging Oba for the title, but changed his stance after Evans made it clear that he would not change his mind.

Evans had hit three successive cutters to Oba, one of which was from the top rope, before pinning him. However, before the referee could count to three, he was pulled out of the ring by Ricky Saints, denying Evans his win.

The way Saints pulled the referee out of the ring and the expression he had on his face, it seems like the former NXT champion is now turning heel.
