2 Major AEW Stars Enter Blood & Guts

Swerve Strickland AEW

The Blood & Guts match on the 24th of July edition of Dynamite is taking shape as The Elite’s team is now complete and a major star joins Team AEW.

After Anarchy In The Arena follows Blood & Guts in AEW and after The Elite picked up a big win at Double Or Nothing, the power-mad group are showing no signs of slowing down.

On Dynamite in Des Moines, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland opened the show but was soon interrupted by The Elite. The Young Bucks made the challenge to the locker room for a Blood & Guts match and told Strickland they needed a fifth man and were willing to put their differences aside to recruit him for their team. Strickland gave that suggestion a firm no meaning The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry still needed a fifth man.

Team AEW needed all five men until ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe broke covered and revealed he’d join the team to take down The Elite.

AEW World Champion Joins Blood & Guts

Now on the 10th of July edition of Dynamite, Swerve Strickland has gone one better than simply turning down The Elite’s offer as the AEW World Champion announced he had joined Team AEW as well.

That show also saw Hangman Adam Page lose in the final of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament to Bryan Danielson meaning Page won’t get his shot at Strickland at All In. Instead, Page marched to The Elite’s locker room backstage and told them “I’ll do it” suggesting he’s taking them up on the previous offer he turned down to be on their team for the match to get his hands on Strickland.

Darby Allin made his return to the show as well issuing a challenge to Jack Perry which suggests Allin could join Team AEW as well but that match has not been made official.
