2 Huge WWE Title Matches Made For Saturday Night’s Main Event

Saturday Night’s Main Event is on its way back and now WWE has confirmed two huge title matches for that show.

Saturday Night’s Main Event returned in December 2024 with a nostalgia-laced show that featured Jesse Ventura back on WWE commentary for the first time in years.

WWE isn’t wasting much time in bringing the show back again as Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on January 25 and two matches have now been made for that show.

The January 13 episode of Raw saw Sheamus pick up a win over Ludwig Kaiser with Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker watching on. After the bout, Breakker and Sheamus almost ended up in a brawl leading to a match between the two men being made for SNME. Sheamus only has the Intercontinental Title to win to complete a career Grand Slam while also winning the King of the Ring, Money In The Bank, and the Royal Rumble. The only man to have completed all of that including the Intercontinental Title is AEW’s Adam Copeland.

On the same episode of Raw, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther came face-to-face with Jey Uso. Gunther came to the ring and noted he wasn’t thrilled with the level of in-ring competition on Raw’s Netflix debut which brought Uso out. Jey Uso picked up a huge win over Drew McIntyre on that show and will be looking for even more when he challenges Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Peacock revealed the dates of other SNME shows in 2025 and it seems WWE is going head-to-head with AEW’s biggest show of the year.
