14-Time World Champion Turning Heel Following Current WWE Storyline
14-time World Champion Charlotte Flair wants to turn heel after her current storyline.
Flair is currently involved in a tag team storyline with Alexa Bliss. They started their tag team storyline earlier this year, in June, after Flair’s failed attempt at a world title chase.
The duo even won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship together recently.
WWE Star Charlotte Flair Opens Up About Her Tag Team Run With Alexa Bliss.
In a new interview, The Queen sat down with Jason Tartick on Trading Secrets, where she talked about her partnership with Alexa Bliss.
Charlotte Flair said that she was initially hesitant about teaming up with Bliss, as she’d had a solo run for a long time. But now she loves the partnership.
“I have just been a solo act for so long. And I don’t like to share the spotlight as my character would say. But Lexi brings out a softness in me, on screen and off camera.”
She added that she hope to turn heel when she goes back to having a singles run again after her current storyline reaches its end.
“I think once I finish whatever I’m doing with Lexi – which I hope continues to go on, we lost last night in Boston – but whatever this looks like for our future, I hope just all of this opportunity with her and wherever that story goes, when I do get to go back to being the solo evil Queen, that it just means that much more, because I had the opportunity to do this.”
Charlotte Flair is generally considered far more effective as a heel than as a babyface, and most of her major runs in WWE have leaned into that Queen villain persona.
She leans into arrogance, constantly calling herself the best and acting like titles are her birthright, which draws strong boos from the audience, thus proving that her character work as a heel is far more enticing.
