12-time WWE Champion May Have Subtly Turned Babyface On RAW

WWE is seemingly contemplating turning a popular heel superstar babyface.

The seeds were allegedly planted when Finn Balor got emotional, speaking about his journey in the company during an interview on the December 29 taping.

Balor turned heel in June 2022 after he was announced as the newest member of The Judgment Day.

The trio of Balor, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest then attacked the faction’s then-leader, Edge. Since then, the group has evolved, as Priest and Ripley were ejected after SummerSlam 2024.

The current line-up includes Balor, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Raquel Rodriguez, JD McDonagh, and Roxanne Perez.

The Judgment Day has been forced to face the music, as the faction deals with a couple of injuries to major players. A few weeks ago, JD McDonagh was revealed to have gone under the knife, which will keep him out of action for some time.

More recently, Dominik Mysterio suffered a shoulder injury and is expected not to appear on TV for the foreseeable future.

The WWE faction held multiple titles at one point, but only has the Intercontinental Championship and the AAA Mega Championship currently, both held by Mysterio.

Finn Balor Cuts An Emotional Promo On WWE Raw

The December 29 episode of WWE Raw was an opportunity for The Judgment Day to bring back a major title into the group.

Raquel Rodriguez was featured in a triple threat match for the Women’s World Champion, but failed to accomplish a favorable outcome after Stephanie Vaquer retained her title.

During an interview with Byron Saxton, Finn Balor recounted the tough journey that his team had been involved in 2025.

He promised that he would put The Judgment Day back on the map in 2026 and set the example by bringing a new championship into the group.

The 44-year-old also addressed the injuries to JD and Dominik, promising to pick them both up and carry the faction on his back like he carried NXT back in the day.
