10-Year WWE Record Broken On Raw

While all eyes on Raw might have been on the huge tag team main event or the latest twist in the Rhea/Dom/Liv triangle, a ten-year-old streak was broken.

Raw in Green Bay started with a showdown between Gunther and Damian Priest ahead of their clash for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. That confrontation led to a brawl that continued again backstage despite officials’ and security’s best efforts. As a result, both men were ejected from the building.

There was more drama for The Judgment Day as Dominik Mysterio apparently made his choice between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. Mysterio told Morgan he hated her as she looked on tearfully before Ripley licked Mysterio’s cheek in celebration.

The night wrapped up with Sami Zayn and Jey Uso teaming up to defeat the World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. However, Zayn was taken out by Bron Breakker after the match as Breakker earned another shot at Zayn’s Intercontinental Title earlier in the show.

Xavier Woods Ends 10-Year Streak On WWE Raw

The New Day’s Xavier Woods was also in action as he teamed with Otis and Akira Tozawa to take on The Final Testament. Ultimately, Karrion Kross and AOP won the match but it was noteworthy for more than that.

WWEStats noted that it had been ten years since Xavier Woods had competed in a tag team match in WWE without either Kofi Kingston or Big E as his partner. The last time Woods had another partner bar his fellow New Day members in a tag team bout came on the 1st of July 2014 edition of Main Event when he teamed with R-Truth in a defeat against The Wyatt Family’s Erick Rowan and Luke Harper.
