There’s more WWE content coming for wrestling fans. This time, it’s in the form of a podcast with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that WWE has made a deal with Endeavor Audio to create a podcast network. There will be “several series focused on its superstar wrestlers” while noting that additional details will be announced at a later date.

Here’s the official, brief press release from WWE on the subject:

WWE® PARTNERS WITH ENDEAVOR AUDIO TO DEVELOP PODCAST NETWORK

NEW YORK, NY AND STAMFORD, CONN. (August 22, 2019) – Endeavor Audio, Endeavor’s audio-first entertainment studio, and WWE (NYSE: WWE), a global media and entertainment company, today announced plans to launch a new WWE Podcast Network with several Superstar-focused series. The move into the audio space marks a first for WWE and is Endeavor’s latest foray into exploring new podcast formats.

That’s all they are saying for now.

The relationship with WWE and Endeavor already exists because they work together on the back-end technology that helps run the WWE Network. Endeavor Audio also works with former WWE superstars Nikki and Brie Bell on their podcast called “The Bellas Podcast.”

Jayar Donlan, who is WWE Advanced Media Executive VP said: “Partnering with Endeavor Audio, an expert in podcasting, will enable us to provide our fans with unique content and reach new audiences across the platform.”

Endeavor Audio’s Senior VP added: “We’re always looking to pair dynamic content with the best formats for listeners. Through our new partnership with WWE, we’re looking forward to tapping into their iconic event portfolio and talent base to create compelling audio content for their fans.”

It was also reported by PWInsider that this has been a story that WWE has talked about for months because of the success of podcasts like Bruce Prichard’s “Something to Wrestle” show with Conrad Thompson that recently celebrated three years of producing great content. The show is very popular and Prichard works for WWE again in part because of how successful that show has been. You may recall a video version of Prichard’s show on WWE Network, but they have only had one season so far. PWInsider reported that a second season was agreed to this past spring, but it hasn’t happened yet. Eric Bischoff also has a successful podcast with Thompson and Bischoff is back in WWE as well.

There’s no start date announced for when WWE podcasts will launch, who will host them or how many there will be, but obviously, they have a lot of talented people in the company and this move makes a lot of sense for WWE.
