News: Adam Rose Released By WWE Following His Request

Adam Rose has been released by World Wrestling Entertainment today. Here’s the statement from WWE.com:

WWE has granted Adam Rose’s request to be released, as of today, May 23, 2016. WWE wishes Rose the best in all his future endeavors.

The wording of their statement tells us that Rose wanted out instead of WWE initiating it. I think from WWE’s point of view, it was pretty obvious they were likely going to have a tough time trusting him since he was suspended 60 days for violating the company’s Wellness Policy for a second time and he also had a domestic abuse incident with his wife that led to him being arrested.

While some of the other recent talent releases came as a bit of a surprise in the last month, this one isn’t very surprising at all due to his issues away from the ring. Plus, as a performer he really wasn’t connecting well and that Social Outcasts group he was a part of was really just a comedy heel foursome that was there to put over faces.

I hope that this decision is something that leads to him fixing his family problems because he’s married with two sons. One of his sons is a special needs child as documented on the ESPN NXT feature from last year, so it’s important that he takes care of that little boy. Sometimes getting away from the craziness that is WWE is good for a performer, so I hope this is the best thing for his family.

Good luck to him in his future both in the ring and especially out of the ring.
