Mixed Tag Team Match Added to WWE SummerSlam Kickoff Show on Aug. 19 (12 Matches Official)

A mixed tag team match was added to the SummerSlam Kickoff Show earlier on Saturday. It’s going to see the husband and wife duo of Rusev team up with Lana against Andrade “Cien” Almas and his business manager, Zelina Vega. SummerSlam takes place on Sunday, August 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The feud has been built up over the last few weeks. Vega beat Lana in singles matches in back to back weeks due to Aiden English accidentally (or is it intentional?) costing Lana the matches when he tried to help. It was obvious it would lead to a mixed tag team match, so SummerSlam is the right place for it.

Raw Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Ronda Rousey

For the Money in the Bank Contract: Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens

Intercontinental Championship: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Seth Rollins

United States Championship: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Carmella (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair

Smackdown Tag Team Championships: The Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs. The New Day

Baron Corbin vs. Finn Balor

Cruiserweight Championship: Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Drew Gulak – I expect this to be a Kickoff Show match.

Rusev and Lana vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega (Kickoff Show)

I think one more match will be added on Raw: Bobby Lashley vs. Elias. After that, the card will be very full with 13 matches.

SummerSlam takes place on August 19 with a 7pmET start time for the main card. The Kickoff Show begins at 5pmET. The entire event is expected to run for about six hours or maybe even seven hours. It’s going to be a long night.
