It’s been a pretty eventful week or so in pro wrestling with WWE Network specials, the fallout from Mayweather/Pacqiauo with Michelle Beadle and WWE and of course Virgil still trying to sell some t-shirts in New York somewhere.
This past Monday on Inside The Ropes, my co-host Robert and I had a pretty interesting discussion about the whole Michelle Beadle situation. Beadle has publicly tried to hold Floyd Mayweather accountable for domestic abuse issues and she ended up getting her credentials revoked from last weekend’s big fight at the MGM Grand in Vegas. After the show, Triple H tweeted his support of Mayweather winning by congratulating him. This was too much for Beadle, who then tweeted out that she was handing in her WWE fan card and Levesque’s support was too much for her to accept. On the podcast this week (there’s some lovely links below for you to check it out) we debated the whole issue.
Michelle Beadle has been a WWE fan for years. There’s a convicted rapist in the WWE Hall of Fame, but she hadn’t spoken up at that point. We look at her side of the story and delve into WWE’s anti bullying campaign while one of their figureheads is publicly endorsing a boxer who’s been involved in domestic abuse incidents multiple times. We’d love to know what you think so once you’ve listened to our debate, let us know what you think in the comments.
In the news this week, we discuss Jeff Hardy’s injury and his future in wrestling, Billy Corgan’s new creative role in TNA and I come up with an idea of how you could use Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 32 that blows Robert away.

This week’s guest on the show is Former WWE star Zach Gowen. I talked to Zach about how he got started in the wrestling business and how he ended up in WWE. He has some funny stories from how the company signed the wrong one legged guy to his first impressions of Vince McMahon and the story of how he encountered a naked Hulk Hogan.

How can you listen to our unique brand of podcasting? I’m glad you asked. The two easiest ways to check us out are:

In the past we’ve had some great guests on the show, so every week I’ll link you to one of our old interviews so up first this week we’re digging right into the ITR Vault and taking you back to March 2013 where I interviewed Eric Bischoff. Eric talked a lot about WCW of course with the rise of the nWo and the big signings of Hogan and Savage. He also had some controversial comments about Bret Hart and why Bischoff felt his WCW run didn’t quite work out. Here’s the link, I hope you enjoy it:

That’s all for this week, hope you enjoy the podcast and the classic audio with Easy E. Until next week…
