Full Spoilers for Next Week’s WWE Raw on Dec. 31 (New Year’s Eve)

TJR Wrestling

There was a WWE Raw taping tonight in Detroit at the Little Caesars Arena. The show will air this Monday night, which is New Year’s Eve night on December 31. Here are the results courtesy of WrestlingInc and their correspondents Ryan and Rob.

Drew McIntyre defeated Dolph Ziggler in a Steel Cage Match

McIntyre got the win with two Claymore Kicks in a row. After the match was over, Ziggler started yelling at McIntyre from inside the cage. McIntyre climbed back in the cage with a steel chair. McIntyre put Ziggler’s head between the chair and the cage, then delivered a Claymore Kick. McIntyre took the mic and declared himself a participant in the Royal Rumble. McIntyre walked off, but came back and hit a fourth Claymore Kick to Ziggler.

Triple H and Shane McMahon were shown arriving in a limo.

Seth Rollins did a promo about wanting to face Dean Ambrose in a rematch for the IC Title. Triple H shows up and tells Rollins that there are no more automatic rematches for titles, and says maybe Rollins doesn’t deserve it. Triple H says he wants the old Seth Rollins back. Triple H puts Rollins in a match with Bobby Lashley for later. Shane McMahon comes out and announces a Battle Royal with the winner facing Dean Ambrose for the title at a later date.

Apollo Crews won a battle royal to earn a shot at the Intercontinental Title

The final three in the match were Crews, Curt Hawkins and Baron Corbin. That led to Corbin eliminating Hawkins and Crews tossed out Corbin to win the match.

Natalya was doing a backstage interview where Nia Jax and Tamina interrupted. They beat up Natalya.

Baron Corbin did an in-ring promo complaining about the battle royal. Elias appears on the stage and tells Corbin it’s time for a New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Elias. Elias sings a song about Corbin losing his General Manager job and then they start fighting. They brawl outside of the ring and into the crowd, but Corbin retreats.

Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Ember Moon defeated The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan)

Bayley got the win with her team with an elbow drop off the top rope.

Bobby Lashley defeated Seth Rollins by disqualification

There were dueling chants from the crowd during the match. The finish saw Rollins use a steel chair. Rollins hit Lashley with multiple chair shots. Rush also got hit with the chair for a huge pop from the crowd. Lashley rolled out of the ring as Rollins hit the Stomp on Rush. Rollins was intense, so it showed that maybe Triple H got what he wanted from Rollins.

Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers defeated Rhyno and Heath Slater

Way to give away a WrestleMania main event early! Jerks! Just kidding. Anyway, Rhyno was cheered during the match because he’s from the Detroit area.

Dean Ambrose did a promo that appeared on the big screen. He said he didn’t need a fresh start and he talked about Apollo Crews going into their match.

Dean Ambrose defeated Apollo Crews to retain the Intercontinental Title

Ambrose won with Dirty Deeds to retain the title. I read another report that said there were “CM Punk” chants during the match, which is what usually happens when a crowd is bored.

Alexa Bliss announced she’ll be hosting a “Moment of Bliss” talk show segment next week on Raw.

Announced for the following week of Raw on January 7: John Cena is there, plus Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. Also, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable defend the Raw Tag Team Titles against The Revival again.

Ronda Rousey and Natalya defeated Nia Jax and Tamina

Rousey made Tamina tap out to the armbar. This was the main event and the end of the show.

That’s the show. I’m sure that some backstage segments will be added like they were last week. I’ll have a review of the show up on Tuesday most likely.
