The 32nd edition of Survivor Series is set to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 18. The first match has been announced for the show and it’s a big one as WWE plans to continue the theme from the last two years by doing some Raw vs. Smackdown matches.

The match will see Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey face off with Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. It was officially announced on Raw this week, which did not have Rousey on the show at all. However, there was a brief encounter with Rousey and Lynch backstage at WWE Evolution on Sunday, which led to WWE releasing this video on Youtube, WWE.com and other outlets.

Each woman has offered up some brief comments on social media as well.

Great line by Lynch in that tweet. She’s really good at this trash talk thing.

TJR Thoughts: It’s a big match and a nice way to get people excited about Survivor Series in less than three weeks. It is almost like one of the biggest WWE events of the year is creeping up on us because of how many other things WWE has going on with Evolution this past weekend and Crown Jewel later this week.

Who wins that match? I think Rousey will probably remain undefeated. I don’t think Lynch will be hurt by a loss although some fans are going to complain about it. I feel like Rousey is going to continue being booked as an unbeatable champion with no change in those plans.

As for the rest of the Survivor Series lineup, it’s not known how many Raw vs. Smackdown matches. There was a report that there might be a Raw elimination match with Kurt Angle captaining a team against a Baron Corbin team with the winner being the Raw GM, but we don’t know if that is true.

On another Survivor Series note, in our Survivor Series section of the site, I still have some Survivor Series recaps to post in our section covering the show, so I’ll do that during the month of November. They will be the reviews of Survivor Series from 2010 to 2017.
