5 Former WWE Champions Who’ll Never Return Under Triple H’s Regime

Triple H WWE

WWE under Triple H’s regime is way more chill and wrestler-focused compared to Vince McMahon’s era.

HHH, having been a wrestler himself, brings a more understanding approach and respects the talent’s input. While McMahon had a “do it my way” boss attitude.

That is why current wrestlers in WWE appreciate the creative freedom and real connections backstage, making the locker room atmosphere healthier and more supportive. But not everyone’s on board with HHH running the company.

Here are five former WWE Champions who might never return to WWE under The Game’s leadership and their respective reasons.

#1 Maven

Speaking on Mic Check With Mr. Anderson, former WWF Hardcore Champion Maven straight-up claimed Hunter disliked him because of the way he entered WWE, i.e, through Tough Enough. He’s been open about being overlooked in his WWE days, and the vibe with Triple H surely didn’t help.

#2 Mr. Kennedy

While speaking to Maven in the same podcast, former WWE United States Champion Mr. Kennedy also revealed that HHH didn’t like him either. He revealed Triple H spoke negatively about him in the locker room, and therefore, the sour backstage connection pretty much closes the door on any WWE comeback under HHH.

#3 Ryback

Ex-WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback left WWE mainly due to creative frustrations and feeling underpaid compared to others. He had a real-life heat with Hunter and has accused The Cerebral Assassin of undermining his career in WWE.

#4 Bret Hart

5-time WWF Champion Bret Hart’s beef with Triple H goes way back, rooted in backstage politics and the infamous 1997 Montreal Screwjob. Though both have been in the Hall of Fame together, Hart has never really warmed up to Hunter and has publicly called him out as “phony.”

#5 Rene Dupree

Ex-WWE Tag Team Champion Rene Dupree’s WWE run faded due to backstage politics and dissatisfaction with creative direction. The ex-WWE star has publicly stated that HHH is the one who hindered his growth in WWE. He even accused HHH of burying other talents in the promotion.
