Why WWE & Triple H Have Given Up On Jey Uso

Jey Uso

Jey Uso started this year with a bang, winning the men’s Royal Rumble and punching his ticket to headline WrestleMania 41.

He faced Gunther at Mania and shockingly defeated The Ring General via submission to win his first world title in WWE.

He held the title for 51 days, retaining it against top names in the company like Seth Rollins and Logan Paul, before losing it back to Gunther on the June 9 episode of Monday Night Raw.

That’s when his singles run began its downward spiral. Ever since losing the World Heavyweight Championship, Jey Uso has been struggling to connect with the fans in WWE.

His momentum has dwindled to a concerning level, and he’s having a hard time maintaining the popularity of his babyface character.

WWE teased Jey Uso’s heel turn after he lost to LA Knight in the Last Time Is Now tournament, but this week, the fans found out that Triple H is no longer interested in pushing for his singles run, at least for now.

Jey Uso Is Back In The Tag Team Division

The Usos officially reunited on the December 8 edition of Monday Night RAW. They saved AJ Styles and Dragon Lee from The New Day, Grayson Waller, and the War Raiders.

Jimmy and Jey Uso also announced that they’ll be going after the WWE Tag Team Championships, which means Triple H’s plans for Uso’s singles are on hold for now.

The “Main Event Jey Uso” singles experiment didn’t work as The Game expected; therefore, he has decided to reposition Jey in WWE.

The focus seems to be on using his star power back in the tag division and possibly saving a heel turn or future singles run for later, once the character is refreshed.
