Eric Bischoff Praises MJF Saying He’s “On A Different Level”

MJF

Eric Bischoff had a lot of praise for a rising young star in AEW, Maxwell Jacob Friedman. In Bischoff’s mind, MJF is at a different level than others in some aspects of pro wrestling.

MJF isn’t shy when he chance to do a promo on AEW television. MJF has had rivalries with some big names in AEW like Cody Rhodes (who he turned on in a big match), he faced Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title in the past and he recently feuded with Jericho. MJF won the first three matches, but then Jericho won the last match earlier this month at All Out with his career on the line. MJF hasn’t won a title in AEW yet, but he is a two-time Dynamite Diamond winner.

Over the past couple of weeks, MJF had a TV feud with Brian Pillman Jr., who is mainly a tag team wrestler in the Varsity Blonds tag team with Griff Garrison. AEW was in Cincinnati on September 8th, which is Pillman’s hometown, so MJF got some massive heat as he ripped on Pillman and his family. That led to their match on this week’s Dynamite in New York City where MJF beat Pillman with the Salt of the Earth armbar to win the match.

Bischoff is a WWE Hall of Famer that was a former President and on-screen General Manager of WWE Raw. Bischoff was known for being a great promo guy as a heel as well during his career. When a fan suggested to Bischoff that he should have an association with MJF on-screen in AEW, Bischoff said he would slow MJF down:

“@The_MJF is on a different level when it comes to character mic work. I’d be slowing him down!”

MJF saw the tweet and replied to Bischoff like only he can:

“It ain’t a character uncle E.”

MJF continues to be one of AEW’s rising young stars. At 26 years old and the leader of The Pinnacle group, he has as bright of a future as anybody in pro wrestling right now.
