Eden (aka Brandi Rhodes) Announces WWE Departure – WWE Confirms
World Wrestling Entertainment in-ring announcer Eden, also known as Brandi Rhodes/Runnels, announced via Twitter that she is parting ways with WWE. She will be working tonight’s SmackDown tapings and once finished, will officially be done with the company. Eden tweeted the following:

WWE later confirmed Eden’s departure with this statement on WWE.com:
“WWE has granted Eden (wife of Cody Rhodes) her request to be released, as of today, May 24, 2016. WWE wishes Eden the best in all her future endeavors.”
Mark’s reaction: Brandi has been working with WWE full time since 2013. This announcement comes a few days after her husband Cody Rhodes was officially released from WWE upon his request. This news does not come as much of a surprise because the word is that Cody left WWE on bad terms since he trashed some members of the WWE creative team for being too hung up on flirting with developmental divas. Even though Brandi says that she’s been offered a new job, I’m sure the awkwardness of her husband leaving on bad terms lent to making this decision.
