Daniel Bryan Removed From Upcoming WWE Live Events

TJR Wrestling

World Wrestling Entertainment has recently cancelled many upcoming Daniel Bryan appearances.

Daniel Bryan Appreciation Night was scheduled to take place at a live event this Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Madison Square Garden issued the following statement to ticket holders addressing Daniel Bryan’s abrupt absence and how his honoring may be re-scheduled at a later date.

Dear WWE Ticket Holder:

Due to a scheduling conflict, the ceremony to honor former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan on March 25, 2016 has been postponed.

While this honoring may occur at a later date, WWE Live – Road to WrestleMania, this Friday at Madison Square Garden, will still take place as scheduled. The event will feature many of your favorite WWE Superstars. After nearly 5 years, Triple H returns to action in the ring in the worlds most famous arena, Madison Square Garden! Also see Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Ric Flair, Sheamus, AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens and many more!

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to your continued support of the WWE and Madison Square Garden.

Sincerely,

The Madison Square Garden Company

Bryan was also previously scheduled for this weekend’s WWE live events in Trenton, New Jersey as well as WWE’s post-WrestleMania tour of the United Kingdom. Bryan will no longer be appearing at any of these events.

WWE issued the following statement as to why Bryan is being pulled from all of his upcoming appearances, when asked by PWInsider for a comment.

“Daniel Bryan requested time off and it was granted.”

As of right now, Bryan is still being advertised for a VIP signing at WrestleMania 32 Axxess on April 3.

Mark’s reaction: I hope everything is okay in Daniel Bryan land. It’s not typical of Bryan to cancel appearances, especially one that’s just three days away and has been advertised for a while now. I was actually considering going to this Friday’s MSG show. The only tickets left were a little pricey, but getting to see Bryan again was a big selling point for me. With him now not attending I’m happy I didn’t get tickets. I’m sure this is a letdown for many who purchased tickets. However, Triple H will be wrestling and it will be AJ Styles’ first time competing at MSG, so at least it’s a little more special than the typical WWE live event.
