Bayley Comments On Next Breakout Stars From WWE NXT

TJR Wrestling

NXT Women’s Champion Bayley was interviewed recently by the Journey Of A Frontman website over a variety of subjects, you can read the entire interview here, but one particular comment caught my eye. With fans clamoring for more and more NXT talent to be called up to the main roster, Bayley gave a personal insight into who she feels could be headed to bigger and better things on the NXT roster.

“Jason Jordan and Chad Gable, who are just getting started in the tag team division. Jason Jordan’s been a hidden gem for a while, so I’m glad he’s finally got something going. And Chad Gable is just amazing, he has so much charisma and he can move like nobody else in the ring. Riddick Moss and Elias Samson have so much potential and I hope they get their opportunity soon because they’re working so hard. In my opinion, they’re so good. Some of the Divas too. I feel like Carmella is gonna be a huge star one day. We have girls such as Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. I think there’s going to be a lot of stars soon, even within the next six months.”

Bayley goes on to talk about her “curtain call” moment at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn with her fellow Horsewomen, Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Sasha Banks, who helped her most in creating the Bayley character and how she felt when Stone Cold Steve Austin talked about the match and showed his appreciation of it on one of his podcasts, amongst other things.

Ski’s Take – With Bayley being one of the veterans down in NXT, I feel her comments carry some weight. She has been in the promotion for over two and a half years, and has seen both male and female talent make the jump up to the main roster. Jason Jordan has been a personal fave of mine for the last 8-9 months, and now he has teamed with Chad Gable (let the Kurt Angle comparisons begin) who highlights his physical attributes even more. Moss and Samson have only had limited TV exposure so I can’t comment on those, but Carmella is a tricky one. Admittedly her in ring work has improved, but I get the feeling that unless she is with Enzo and Cass, the live crowd and the audience at home aren’t connecting to her as much as when she’s with them.
