AEW Revolution 2021 Results

This is a results post for tonight’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view event. The show began at 8pm ET with nine scheduled matches including the pre-show. The reason we are doing a results post is because I am not watching live, so the detailed “The John Report” review will go up most likely on Monday morning.

There was one “Buy In” Pre-Show match that saw Dr. Britt Baker and Maki Itoh defeat Riho and Thunder Rosa. That was it for the pre-show.

The rest of the results happened on the main show.

* The Young Bucks defeated Chris Jericho and MJF to retain the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

* Pac & Rey Fenix won a Tag Team Casino Battle Royal with Fenix as the last man in the match. Jungle Boy was the runner-up. The win by Pac & Fenix means they will get to challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Titles.

* Hikaru Shida defeated Ryo Mizunami to retain the AEW Women’s World Title.

* Miro and Kip Sabian defeated Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy. Miro made Taylor tap out to win the match.

* “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Matt Hardy.

* Scorpio Sky won the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. The other wrestlers were Cody Rhodes, Lance Archer, Scorpio Sky, Penta El Zero Miedo, Max Caster and a debuting “All Ego” Ethan Page.

* Christian Cage was the mystery big star signing with AEW. He was the popular prediction. Christian signed his contract in the ring, the fans cheered and he left. That was it.

* Street Fight: Sting and Darby Allin defeated Brian Cage and Ricky Starks. It took place in some abandoned warehouse so it was a cinematic fight that wasn’t in front of the crowd.

* Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match for the AEW World Championship: Kenny Omega defeated Jon Moxley. Omega had help from Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. Omega won with a One Winged Angel on a barbed wire steel chair. After the match, an “explosion” took place that was very weak. It has led to a lot of jokes on Twitter, so they ended on a weak note. At least Jon Moxley had a funny promo about it.

AEW Revolution had a runtime of 3 hours, 44 minutes.
