AEW Dynamite Lineup for Tonight (Dec. 18)
Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite takes place at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. It’s the last episode of Dynamite in 2019 beacuse they are not doing a show next Wednesday on Christmas Day. There will be a live Dynamite show in two weeks on New Year’s Day.
Here’s what AEW has advertised for tonight with some quick predictions by me for all six matches.
* The Lucha Brothers vs. Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page
It was announced that this will be the opener. The story is that Page may be turning on Omega, so I expect something where they make a mistake caused by Page and Lucha Bros capitalize to win the match. The heel turn of Page probably won’t happen officially tonight, but at some point in January, I expect it to take place.
* Awesome Kong in action
This should be an easy win for Kong over whoever the opponent wins. It will likely be a match that goes two minutes or less.
* Cody and Darby Allin vs. The Butcher and The Blade (w/The Bunny)
Cody lost with QT Marshall as his partner against The Butcher and The Blade last week. Allin showed up to offer his hand to Cody as a partner. I expect Cody and Allin to win this match. I like how Allin has won the fans over during his AEW run. Having him team up with a popular guy like Cody is a smart move.
* AEW Women’s Championship #1 Contendership: Kris Statlander vs. Dr. Britt Baker
Hey, did you know Britt is a dentist? I think we know. I’m going with Statlander here. I think the alien gimmick she is doing is ridiculous and lame, but she’s talented in the ring. I think Statlander wins here and she’ll probably beat Riho for the AEW World Title too.
* Chris Jericho vs. Jungle Boy
This is is not for Jericho’s AEW World Title and it’s also a match with 10-minute time limit. I expect Jungle Boy to come close to winning multiple times, but I think Jericho will put him away around 9:45 or so. That way it looks like a close finish.
* AEW World Tag Team Championships: SCU’s Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky vs. The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson)
There’s a lot of history here as Matt Jackson tweeted a few days ago.

This match will be outstanding. I have no doubt about that. If the champs retain that’s fine with me, but I get the feeling that AEW wants to end Dynamite this year with a big moment and a big celebration with the popular Young Bucks team winning the AEW Tag Team Titles.
I will have a review of AEW Dynamite up on TJRWrestling later tonight. I don’t think it will be live, but I’m expecting to get it done later tonight.
