WWE News: Undertaker Undergoing Major Hip Surgery Soon

TJR Wrestling

Adding more fuel to the fire that last Sunday’s WrestleMania 33 match against Roman Reigns most likely was the last hurrah for the Undertaker, it is now being reported in the Wrestling Observer that he is expected to undergo major hip surgery.

It’s also worth noting that Undertaker has been dealing with serious hip problems for a few years now and has had minor surgeries to allow him to still wrestle. What this means is that once he goes in for this hip surgery, it most likely closes the door for good on him ever wrestling again.

WWE obviously was aware of all of this, which is why Vince McMahon had Reigns go over. He is adamant about putting someone over in whatever Undertaker’s last match may be, which is also why Brock Lesnar broke the infamous undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30.

Rob’s Hot-Take:

I’m still a whirlwind of emotions after watching Undertaker (the guy pretty much responsible for truly making wrestling connect with me) have his post-match wrestling farewell, and although there are still a number of opponents I would like to see him go up against, perhaps it is now finally time to call it quits and focus on his health. They could have chosen from so many other great talents besides Reigns, but Vince loves his hosses, especially ones that scream “OOOAAAHHHH”.
