TJR Wrestling

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins will be starring in a feature film titled, Temple. This movie will be the first in a series of at least three films to come from the label Erebus Pictures. Erebus Pictures is a horror/thriller label formed as a partnership between WWE Studios and KISS co-founder Gene Simmons. Rollins will star alongside Wesley Snipes, Anne Heche and Dave Annable. This is according to popular entertainment news source Deadline.

The following is a synopsis of Temple according to WWE.com.

“Temple” is written by Matt Savelloni (“Exile To Babylon”) and will follow a team of highly trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after its artificial intelligence is suddenly shut down. While investigating the source of the malfunction, the crew begins to experience strange and horrific phenomena as they attempt to uncover who or what killed the team previously stationed at the compound.

Temple will be directed by John Stockwell and begins filming this week.

Mark’s reaction: I’ll give the trailer a shot once it is released, but my tastes in movies don’t usually line up with WWE Studios films. Although, since they’re teaming up with Gene Simmons for a series of genre specific movies, maybe it can be better. I’ll believe it when I see it though. The only film I’ve liked that WWE Studios was involved with was The Call with Halle Berry. I was pleasantly surprised with that one.

As far as Seth Rollins as an actor, let’s see how it goes. He does a good job as a heel in WWE, but he’s of course a much better wrestler. When it comes to pro-wrestling stars in movies, I always expect the worse.
