The announcement was made via Periscope a few moments before today’s event, Chapter 28 The Lost Art Of Suffering.

The two matches will be taking place on April 24th and will be held at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London England, with tickets going on sale April 4th, the day after WrestleMania.

Just last month, NXT General Manager William Regal attended EVOLVE 56 and announced that qualifying matches would be taking place all over the world, including EVOLVE itself.

Regal previously announced that qualifying matches for the Global Cruiserweight Series would take place all over the world, including matches for EVOLVE Wrestling.

Ski’s Take – Another set of qualifying matches has been announced, and without sounding biased, I am PUMPED that they’re taking place in one of the UK’s top promotions. Progress Wrestling have had a meteoric rise in the four years of it’s existence, and this goes to show that the biggest promotion in the world have taken notice and really wants to make the Cruiserweight series global.

I’ve also heard that the qualifying matches will be for British wrestlers only, which is great as I am a huge advocate for British wrestling. The wealth of talent in these shores is immense and to see two of our greatest competitors showcased in the WWE can only highlight just how good the scene is over here in Blighty!

I’m sure the rumors have started already as to who the four competitors are that will be competing in the qualifying matches. Mark Haskins, Paul Robinson, Zack Gibson, Flash Morgan Webster, Jack Gallagher are all names that must be in contention, but the two I think that are most certainly in the mix are the Progress Champion “The Villain” Marty Scurll and one of the hottest properties in the world right now Zack Sabre Jr.

I cannot wait for this event to happen. Now excuse me, I’m off to find some money down the back of the sofa to pay for my ticket!
