WWE News On When Jason Jordan & Chad Gable May Be On Main Roster

TJR Wrestling

NXT Tag Team Champions Jason Jordan and Chad Gable, also known as American Alpha, have taken NXT’s tag team division by storm over the past year. After a couple months of Gable trying to convince Jordan to form a tag team, the finally teamed together in July 2015. However, it really wasn’t until the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in September 2015 that they began to gel as a team and really showed audiences what they are capable of.

Jordan and Gable won their first championships in NXT on April 1 of this year when they won the NXT Tag Team Titles from The Revival (Dash and Dawson) at NXT TakeOver: Dallas. Since then, and since Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady moved up to WWE’s main roster, Jordan and Gable have undoubtedly become the most popular tag team in NXT. Many figured that they would have a solid run with the NXT Tag Titles before getting called up to the main roster, similar to how Bayley and Finn Balor had their runs with their respective titles and will likely be called up to the main roster within the next few months. However, American Alpha were reportedly planned to be on Raw and Smackdown later this year.

The tentative plan was for Jordan and Gable to make their main roster debut this fall. This is according to the most recent edition of Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. However, these plans were made before yesterday’s earth shattering announcement of the brand split between Raw and Smackdown coming back into effect. Jordan and Gable still may debut this fall for all we know, but their transition to the main roster could come a bit sooner considering WWE’s splitting the roster up and both Raw and Smackdown will need as much top talent as they can get in order for both shows to look strong.

Are you looking forward to the possibility of American Alpha debuting on Raw or Smackdown within the remainder of the year? Let us know any of your thoughts in the comment section below.
