WWE News: Finn Balor Advertised For Live Events in March

TJR Wrestling

Finn Balor is advertised for WWE Raw brand live events in Buffalo, New York on Friday, March 10 and Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, March 11. Balor is also advertised for a Raw live event in White Plains, New York on March 26 as well. All of this is according to a report on PWInsider.

Balor has been out of action since late August when he took a Seth Rollins Powerbomb against the barricade at ringside and hurt his shoulder so bad that he needed major surgery. There were rumors that he might be ready for the Royal Rumble, but he wasn’t cleared by WWE’s doctors for that event. In interviews over the last few months, Balor maintained that late February was most likely and it looks like that was accurate. That would be about six months after the injury took place.

As we noted yesterday, WWE will be airing a “WWE 24” special on Balor’s recovery and rehab similar to what they did for Seth Rollins. They are usually excellent documentaries.

What isn’t known is when his television return may take place. If I had to guess based on when the live events are scheduled, it makes sense for him to come back either at Raw’s Fastlane pay-per-view on March 5 or the live Raw the next night. That way there would be a month for him to be involved in a storyline, which could lead to him having a match at WrestleMania. Against who? Your guess is as good as mine at this point.

What I’d like to know is if he is also advertised for the Raw live event in London, Ontario on March 12 because I’ll be there ringside and it would be awesome if he was there too. As of this writing, he’s not listed with the other names on the card.

As always, remember that “card subject to change” is a saying that WWE has used on every card for decades. However, if they are advertising him for shows that take place in less than a month it likely means that he is expected to be cleared soon.

In other WWE live event news, Samoa Joe started as a regular on the Raw roster last night in Dallas.
