WWE News: Braun Strowman Undergoes Elbow Surgery – Out “Up To Six Months”

TJR Wrestling

Braun Strowman, one of the breakout stars on WWE Raw this year, will be out of action for up to six months according to WWE.com.

Here is what they reported on WWE.com about the injury:

Braun Strowman underwent surgery following the attack by Roman Reigns last Monday on Raw, WWE.com can now confirm.

Immediately after the assault on Strowman’s injured shoulder and elbow by the former WWE Champion, The Monster Among Men left Raw in an ambulance and was able to get back to the United States for an evaluation this past Wednesday. Following the medical consultation, Strowman underwent surgery on Thursday in Birmingham, Ala. with Dr. Jeffrey Dugas. During the procedure it was revealed, among his other injuries, that Strowman’s elbow had been shattered, and he is expected to miss up to six months of action as a result.

It’s awful news and the timing sucks for the Raw brand since he was likely going to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at Raw’s Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view on July 9.

Last week when the injury was first reported the story was that he may be out for one or two months. It turned out that after the surgery, the diagnosis is much worse and now he’ll be out until November possibly.

Also, the injury was already a concern before last week’s angle with Reigns. That was just done to write Strowman out of the storylines.

We wish Braun Strowman the best in his recovery.
