WWE: Hornswoggle Suspended for 30 Days

TJR Wrestling

Hornswoggle underwent arthroscopic shoulder decompression surgery this past March. This risk associated with this type of surgery is quite low, but it still kept Hornswoggle in recovery mode and off of WWE television for quite a while. Although Hornswoggle has now fully recovered from his shoulder surgery, he faces yet another obstacle that will keep him from getting any TV time within the next month.

Today WWE.com released the following:

“In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Dylan Postl (Hornswoggle) for 30 days, effective immediately, for his first violation of the company’s policy.”

The WWE’s Talent Wellness Program uses a three strike system. The first strike results in a 30 day suspension without pay. A second strike results in a 60 day suspension without pay. Lastly, a third strike results in a termination of the WWE talent’s contract. The WWE talent can return after their initial termination, but they must be gone for at least one year.

Mark’s reaction:

I honestly forgot Hornswoggle was still with the company. The last I remember of Hornswoggle was him dressing up as a member of 3MB and something happening between him and El Torito. I really try and repress as many memories I have of Hornswoggle as possible. I totally respect him going after his dream and taking some of the bumps that he has throughout the years, but I’m not even remotely interested in anything that results in having to see more Hornswoggle on my TV screen anytime soon.

Let’s end this on a high note though. Here’s Hornswoggle in undoubtedly my favorite moment of his career. The setting was WrestleMania 23 in Detroit, Michigan. It was during the third annual Money in the Bank ladder match, back when they use to have it every year at WrestleMania. If you can make it past the slightly shaky cam and poor quality, enjoy. If the way the video was recorded is too jarring for you to watch, check it out on the WWE Network… it’s a classic.
