Teams Announced for WWE Raw Tag Team Turmoil Match on May 8

The next edition of WWE Raw, which will air on tape delay from London, England this Monday, will have a Tag Team Turmoil match featuring five Raw tag teams. The prize for the winners is a shot at the Raw Tag Team Titles, which are held by the Hardy Boyz.

The tag teams in the match will be The Golden Truth (Goldust & R-Truth), Enzo Amore & Big Cass, Heath Slater & Rhyno, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson and Cesaro & Sheamus.

What is a Tag Team Turmoil match? Here’s an explanation straight from WWE.com: A Tag Team Turmoil Match is an elimination bout in which two teams begin battling in the ring, and once a team is defeated, another takes its place. The match continues until only one tandem is left standing.

There’s no word on when the winning team will face the Hardys for the title, but I think it’s likely going to be at Raw’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view on June 4.

As of this writing, that is the only match announced for Raw so far.

TJR Thoughts: I think Cesaro and Sheamus will win. I’d be shocked if they didn’t. They turned heel following their loss against the Hardy Boyz at Payback and then they followed it up with a “we blame it on the fans” type promo on Raw. Even though they lost the title match, they are in position to get another shot if they win this. It’s possible that Gallows & Anderson win since they’re the other main heel team on Raw.

No matter who wins, I think the Hardys will get past them. In a few months, we’ll get that dream Hardys vs. Revival feud when Dash Wilder is back from his broken jaw injury. That will be an outstanding tag team rivalry.
