Report: WWE Pulls Onscreen Celebration Between Ric Flair & John Cena

During last night’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view, John Cena defeated AJ Styles to become the new WWE World Champion. With that victory, Cena is now tied with “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair for the most world championship reigns by any wrestler, with 16 reigns.

Flair was reportedly suppose to have an onscreen celebration with Cena after his victory. This is according to PWInsider, who said that Flair was originally planned to enter the ring and strap the WWE World Title around Cena’s waist.

Instead of this, WWE decided to use social media platforms to film a video of Flair congratulating Cena and post a photo of them together.
