Report: The Undertaker Set to Return to WWE TV This Week

TJR Wrestling

The Undertaker is expected to return to WWE television this coming week according to a report from PWInsider. Their report notes that The Undertaker will likely be at Raw this Monday in Chicago although that doesn’t mean WWE is going to advertise it. At this point they have not.

As most of you know, prior to Raw is Sunday’s Fastlane pay-per-view event with Roman Reigns facing Braun Strowman at that event.

The expectation is that The Undertaker will face Roman Reigns in one of the biggest matches at WrestleMania 33 on April 2 in Orlando. The angle began at January’s Royal Rumble when Reigns eliminated Undertaker from the Royal Rumble. After the elimination, the crowd booed heavily. The Undertaker hasn’t been on WWE TV since that moment.

Last November, prior to Survivor Series, Undertaker appeared on Smackdown, but he hasn’t been on there since then because the WrestleMania plan is Reigns vs. Undertaker.

TJR Thoughts: It makes sense to have him on Raw this week in a big market like Chicago with less than one month to go until WrestleMania. We are used to seeing him make his TV return to build up whatever his match is.

What else can I predict for Raw in Chicago? CM Punk chants. You know they’re coming.
