World Wrestling Entertainment will reportedly be taking a new approach in terms of episode distribution when The Mae Young Classic becomes available to watch on the WWE Network this summer. This is according to PWInsider.

PWInsider notes that although the current plan is to tape the 32-woman tournament on July 13 and July 14, it will not actually air on the WWE Network until about a month and a half later. WWE will reportedly be making the first round of The Mae Young Classic available to watch during the last week of August, while the second round will be made available to watch the first week of September. By releasing the episodes like this, WWE is encouraging viewers to binge watch the tournament.

It was also noted by PWInsider that the initial plan was for The Mae Young classic to be released the week of SummerSlam. However, WWE thought it would be a better idea to push the start date of The Mae Young Classic in order for it not to be over shadowed by everything that will transpire during SummerSlam week.

Lastly, PWInsider’s report mentions that the finals of The Mae Young Classic is currently planned to take place live on Tuesday, September 12.
