Report: Mike Bennett & Maria Are Heading to WWE’s Main Roster

Mike Bennett and his wife Maria Kanellis-Bennett, former TNA and Ring of Honor stars, are reportedly on their way to World Wrestling Entertainment’s main roster. This is according to PWTorch.com. Maria previously worked for WWE from 2004 to 2010.

PWTorch notes that they are expected to end up on Smackdown. This is surprising because aside from a few exceptions (such as AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), new acquisitions in today’s WWE are often sent to NXT and work their way up to the main roster.

Impact Wrestling was reportedly still a possibility, but PWTorch notes that WWE’s offer was more appealing.
