Sami Zayn Addresses Potential Of WWE’s Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker has impressed a lot of people in WWE, especially his SummerSlam opponent Sami Zayn.
The WWE Intercontinental Title was on the line at Money in the Bank in Toronto when Bron Breakker challenged Sami Zayn for the gold. It was a match where many people thought that Breakker would capture the IC Title, but instead, it was Zayn finding a way to retain his title.
At WWE SummerSlam this Saturday in Cleveland, Zayn will defend the Intercontinental Title against Breakker again. Over the last two weeks on Raw, Breakker has delivered a physical message to Zayn by hitting him with a devastating Spear at the end of the show in back to back weeks.
While the character of Sami Zayn may be angry with Breakker for the cheap attacks of late, the popular IC Champion told Busted Open Radio about what it’s like facing Breakker.
“It’s an interesting one when you’re the perennial underdog, but you become champion, you still have to have that confidence of he’s a rookie, and I’m the veteran. ‘You’re in my world, but you’re very dangerous.’ It’s toeing that line.”
“He has a physical advantage over me, but I have, theoretically, an intellectual advantage on my side. Anybody who takes a look at him, his trajectory has been incredible. His strength and speed jumps off the page.”
Sami Zayn Believes Bron Breakker Can Be A “Very Complete Player” In WWE
As he continued, Sami Zayn spoke about Bron Breakker growing as a personality and being more than just a guy who runs fast while delivering a Spear.
“Even personality-wise, I know he’s not there yet in that the fans haven’t seen it yet, but this guy will have a magnetic personality, eventually, when fans start to see that side of him. With enough time and finessing and the right people telling him the right things, which can always go awry with the wrong people telling you the wrong things.”
“If he stays the path, he’s going to be a very complete player and more than just a strong guy who runs really fast and hits a great spear. There is a lot more to his game than that. He’s going to be good, I just hope it’s not at my expense at SummerSlam.”
Regarding the Zayn/Breakker SummerSlam match, it has been reported that Bron Breakker will likely win because WWE wants to give him a big moment at a stadium show like SummerSlam.
