Logan Paul Made WWE US Title Relevant Again Says The Undertaker

Logan Paul WWE US Champion

The Undertaker has given Logan Paul credit for making the WWE US Title relevant again despite only defending it 3 times in 273 days.

At SummerSlam, Logan Paul proved to be possibly the least popular hometown hero in wrestling history as he was booed to the ring in Cleveland where he was accompanied by Cleveland rap star MGK.

Knight and Paul brawled before the match even officially got underway with LA Knight dropping Paul with a neckbreaker on the announce table. The match proved to be a hard-fought contest with Knight surviving a wicked right hand from the champion. Paul was given brass knucks from MGK but even that couldn’t keep LA Knight down as he nailed Paul with his BFT to capture his first official championship in WWE and end the reign of terror of Logan Paul.

The Undertaker Credits Logan Paul For WWE US Title Reign

Speaking to Logan Paul on his Impaulsive podcast after his loss, The Undertaker praised Paul for his commitment to making the US Championship relevant once again:

Obviously it was a rough day at the office last night, but what you’ve done with your platform for that title has been very impressive. You’ve actually made that thing mean something again. What you did and all the places that you go. When you’re with your brother and you’ve got that belt — man, that’s next level commitment. And that’s made that belt relevant again.

Logan Paul noted he tried to take the title belt everywhere with him during his time as champion as he sought to become synonymous with it:

I tried to take [the title belt] everywhere, I glued it to my side. I bet people will see that, in this generation of wrestling fans, people will see it and always be like, ‘That’s Logan Paul’s belt.’

With three title defences in 273 days, Logan Paul averaged a title defence every 91 days as WWE US Champion. For context, Roman Reigns’ historic reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion – marked by a lot of criticism for his absence from the company – saw the Tribal Chief defend his gold 32 times in 1,316 days for an average of one title defence every 41 days.
