Alberto El Patron (Del Rio) Rips WWE and “Sports Entertainment” After Slammiversary Match

TJR Wrestling

Alberto El Patron, formerly known as Alberto Del Rio, won the Impact World and Global Force Wrestling Championship Unification match in the main event of last night’s Slammiversary pay-per-view.

After the match, El Patron picked up a microphone and and gave thanks to his opponent, Bobby Lashley, as the crowd chanted “you deserve it.” El Patron called himself a “bad ass mother f—er” and said how he’s wrestled everywhere, “even that f—ing company, WWE!” He told the audience that WWE is “full of losers.”

El Patron then told Lashley that he thinks they should have a rematch for pro wrestling’s sake, because they’re not sports entertainers, they’re wrestlers.

“You gave me the battle of my life. And for that, and for these fans – the real fans – let’s do it again. Not for you, not for me, for the [inaudible] of pro wrestling, because we’re not f—ing sports entertainers! Bobby Lashley and every single wrestler at Impact Wrestling… in this place, we are not sports entertainers, we are f—ing wrestlers!”
